Volkswagen Concern considers a possibility to install 2.5-liters engines on supercars Audi and Lamborghini
Currently, Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan are equipped with 5.2-liters engines V10; however, according to Car and Drive, not every client is pleased with such motors. Particularly, some drivers from China, which want to have such kind of a car, refuse to buy it because of high taxes.
The reason is in the law of China, where tax preferences are cars with engine capacity of up to 2.5 liters. Therefore, the Chinese dealers Audi and Lamborghini engineers were asked to develop a Volkswagen “little-cubature” versions of models R8 and Huracan, who have, moreover, are of a good dynamic performance.
Currently, experts are risen concern the ability to install a 5-cylinder engine 2.5 TFSI (Audi RS3 on this powerplant develops 367 hp lot).
