Next Mitsubishi ASX get “charged” version, which will replace the legendary “evolution”.
“Hot” hybrid crossover of the brand Mitsubishi, which is to replace turbosedan iconic Lancer Evolution, can be constructed from the following crossover ASX, the second generation. This is with reference to the head of Mitsubishi Motors Aikawa Tetsuro: “This machine should be easy, quick, and have racing technology,” – said the head of the Japanese brand.
This is the forerunner of next ASX concept XR-PHEV II (pictured), made its debut this spring and equipped with the internal combustion engine and a new 163-horsepower electric motor. Thus this hybrid – rechargeable, ie the battery can be recharged from a household electrical outlet. Some of the technologies were taken from racing MiEV Evolution, racing on the mountain Pikes Peak.
Serial Mitsubishi ASX is the second generation debuted in 2016, but the “charged” version, of course, will come later, “To release a similar car, you must first sell a considerable number of conventional crossovers to offset the costs of development”, – said Aikawa.
