The head of the concern think that today VW AG are unduly clumsy structure.
Automotive concern Volkswagen can be divided into four companies, every of which will combine a few marks: first of it will have Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat, second – Audi, Lamborghini and Ducati, third – Porsche, Bugatti and Bentley, fourth will pay attention at commercial transport – MAN, Scania and Volkswagen Commercial.
As reported by the German newspaper Handelsblatt, the cause of these changes was the excessive centralization of a large group, and the emergence of four separate companies will make the structure more maneuverable, making decisions more quickly and reduce costs.
The final version of the future structure of Volkswagen AG will be presented to the supervisory board until autumn. At the same time, experts note that restructuring is directly linked to controversial departure of former Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Ferdinand Peha, who led the corporation stretch for nearly a quarter-century and built the current management model.
